Course Information

Course Objectivs

To promote the language and knowledge that contribute to the gradual development of a plastic language of self-expression according to individual sensitivity and creativity.
- Provide the content and practical knowledge in a current context for the practical exploration of the plastic potentialities of the matter and the sculptural techniques.
- Provide the fundamental knowledge (theoretical and practical) about traditional three-dimensional modeling techniques.

Evaluation Criteria

 The evaluation will be periodic using the development and presentation of practical work ,supplemented with theoretical work, by which the student must show knowledge of the subject matter as well as other skills required in this course.
There will also be a continuous assessment in the evaluation process, through observation of work in class by the student throughout the semester.

Materials will be approached from a theoretical perspective as raw material as well as its general properties and plastic characteristics.

Theoretical / practical approach to the methods and techniques of modeling the materials that may be characterized as most suitable for the materialization of the respective academic exercises.

The design and its suitability for the technique and materials chosen.

Possible theoretical exploration or research work on other materials and techniques other than those used in class exercises.

Equipment and tools: Characteristics, handling and care processes.
