## Course Information

### Course Objectivs

To acquire the concept of number

To understand the Hindu?Arabic numeral system. Decimal basis and other basis.

To know related facts with the history of numbers and operations

To know the natural number set, its properties and exploit its regularities

To develop the necessary skills on how to teach Mathematics.

To realize the value of the planning

To apply the correct knowledge in problem solving

To be able to express conclusions, knowledge and reasoning to experts and non-experts, in a accurate way.

### Evaluation Criteria

Normal Season
2 tests, each rated for 20 points, and a work rated for 4 values.
The final grade is calculated as follows: Final = 0,4 * (test 1 + test 2) + work
To obtain approval in the discipline one must have final grade equal or greater than 9.5.
Complementary season
It can be retrieved one or two test (each with the same weight as in normal season) or performed a full exame with a 80% weight in the final grade.
