Course Information

Course Objectivs

1 Based on the knowledge already acquired in previous courses at the basic level, this course aims to empower students with knowledge (theoretical and practical) and a set of tools (experimental techniques) of great importance in biochemistry.

Evaluation Criteria

Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20)
Evaluation Model: B
Evaluation Methodology: The evaluation of this course is based on: a) Written tests (2 tests, one in the middle of the semester and the other in the end); the tests allow to evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired by each student; the tests have a weight of 70% in the overall course evaluation; b) Lab reports from the experimental works done along the semester; the lab activities and the correspondent reports are a team work; the lab reports allow the evaluation of the students capacity to work in team and to interpret and communicate the experimental results; the lab reports have a weight of 30% in the overall course evaluation. The tests may be repeated in the appeal period but the lab reports do not. A minimum of 9.5 values is required in each element of evaluation to succeed in the course.
