Course Information

Course Objectivs

Knowledge
1. Understand and apply the concepts and zoological terms.
2. Understand animal diversity through the anatomy, morphology, physiology and development.
3. Identify the major groups of animals through the body plan and the main morphological and biological characteristics.
4. Recognize the different evolutionary trends that enabled the establishment of different animal archetypes and evolutionary relationships among the major groups.
5. Understanding the adaptations of animals to different ecosystems and understand the phenomena that have 
shaped its evolution.

Skills
1. Observe, record, describe, compare, and make inferences in a scientific manner 2. Express themselves fluently, with diverse and specific vocabulary area;
3 Analysis and synthesis;
4. Critical thinking and organizing ideas;
5. Respect animals and their environment. 

Evaluation Criteria

The evaluation consists of two written exams including questions on the subject of the theoretical, practical classes and can include questions about the field trips.
