Course Information

Course Objectivs

Present, analyse and discuss the different definitions of entrepreneurship.

Assess the entrepreneurship evolution as an area of research

Characterize the Entrepreneur

Assess the importance of the entrepreneurial environment

Characterize the entrepreneurial activity in Portugal

Study and comprehend the entrepreneurial process

Encourage students to search, recognize and evaluate a business opportunity

Develop competences in the elaboration, presentation and evaluation of a Business plan

Evaluation Criteria

I - 50% Written Exam:

            Objective: examination of the theoretical component of the program

            Minimum score: 7.00 values (from 1 to 20)

            Recoverable in the "Recurso" Exam? Yes

            Date of the written exam: 05.04.2018

 

III - 50% Business Plan:

             Objective: Identify a business opportunity and elaborate a business plan

             Groups: 3 Students

             Assessment: Final Grade of Business Plan= 20% Pitch + 35% written business plan + 35% business plan presentation + 10% Investment Decision

             Minimum score: 7.00 values (in the Final Grade of Business Plan)

             Type: Compulsory

             Dates:

                  1) Pitch presentation: 19.04.2018

                  2) Submit the written Business Plan: 24.05.2018

                  3) Presentation of the Business Plan: 4th or 7th of June 2018.

                  4) Investment Decision: 09.06.2018

 

The student is approved in the course if the final average grade is equal to or greater than 9.50 points, considering that all evaluation components have a minimum score of 7.00 values. The only evaluation component which could be recovered at the Época de Recurso is the written exam.  In the Época de Melhoria the student will have the opportunity to improve the written exam score.
