Course Information

Course Objectivs

1 Present the key components of electronic circuits and explain their operation.

2 Understand, analyze, design and scale the most common circuits constructed with diodes.

3 Understand, analyze, design and scale the most common circuits constructed with bipolar juntion transistors.

4 Understand, analyze, design and scale the most common circuits constructed with field effect transistors.

5 Understand, analyze, design and scale the most common circuits constructed with operational amplifiers.

6 Employing suitable equipment and techniques for practical assignments.

7 Improve the use of simulation software.

8 Learn printed circuit board fabrication techniques.

Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20)
Evaluation Model: B
Evaluation Methodology: 2 Exams: The Exams are intended to assess the theoretical and theoretical/practical knowledge acquired by students. 5 practical laboratory assignments: The assignments are assessed by writen reports (3) or oral presentations (2). These assignmente allow the students to apply the acquired knowledge (either in the laboratory and in terms of simulation), and also allows them to develop writing skills, improve the presentation of results, their oral communication skills and teamwork. There is a 6th assignment, related to objective O8, which is not evaluated.
