Course Information

Course Objectivs

1 Understanding the concepts and tools in the field of antennas and propagation. Developing skills of design of antenna arrays and study the phenomena of electromagnetic wave propagation in understanding the physical transmission of signals.

2 Knowledge of the phenomenon of radiation of antennas and the main features that characterize them.

3 Know to apply the theory electromagnetic to the analysis of antennas and arrays.

4 Understanding the process of wave propagation in guided media.

5 Understanding the process of wave propagation in non-guided media.

6 An ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

7 Use of appropriate equipment to the area of antennas and propagation and simulation software tools.

8 Develop soft skills, such as ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering, teamwork, and ability to communicate effectively.

Evaluation Methodology: Teaching methodologies: - Lectures; - Solving exercises; - Laboratorial work; - Simulation. Evaluation: - Oral examinations: 20%; - Exams: 50%; - Presentations and elaboration of reports: 30% (practical works).
