Course Objectivs

  • Understand what is innovation
  • Analyze and discuss the importance of innovation to the world
  • Identify the types of innovation
  • Understand the innovation process
  • Understand the various factors that influence the innovation process
  • Understand the importance of having a strategy for innovation
  • Identify the sources of innovation
  • Understanding the importance of networks for innovation
  • Evaluate decision-making in the innovation process
  • Comprehend the process of developing new products/services
  • Analyze how retention of innovation benefits is achieved
  • Encourage the student in the search, identification and evaluation of innovation success stories.
  • Develop student's skills in the elaboration and presentation of a case study.

Works assessment: 50% written report + 50% presentation

The student is approved in the course if the final average grade is equal to or greater than 9.50 points, considering that the grade of all individual works can not be recovered at the Época de Recurso or Especial.
