Course Objectivs

1 Knowing the role of education in Health.

2 Knowing the basics of Teaching and Learning.

3 Reflecting on the role of health education in promoting healthy lifestyles and modification of risk behaviors.

4 Planning learning activities for individuals, groups and communities.

5 Understanding the fundamentals of learning throughout the life cycle, as well as teaching strategies depending on the individual, group and community.

6 Understanding social and psychological aspects of humankind.

7 Understanding the process of human psychological development in its different dimensions.

8 Understanding the group as the fundamental context in human development.

9 Understanding the socio-cultural dimension of humankind.

10 Identifing the culture and society as determinants contexts of health.

Evaluation Criteria

Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20)
Evaluation Model: A
Evaluation Methodology: 2 frequencies (on the fundamental contents). Non-participation in at least 75% of teaching sessions, precludes the classification recovery in recource assessment period. 1 written work with oral presentation about the planning process of a formative activity. The application of theoretical knowledge is fundamental to its consolidation as it will cover the whole student training path in 1. cycle of studies in nursing and in their future professional life. Non-participation in at least 75% of teaching sessions, involves no recovery ratings in recource assessment period and implies reprobation of the course. 1 written work with oral presentation.
