Overall objectives:

1 - This Curricular Unit pretends to explore the language and tools of specific software that help in the creation, development and communication of bi or tridimensional artifacts. The main objective is to learn and get skills in 3d visualization, render, lightning, materials and after-effects and motion.
2 - Introduction to software specific to pagination, editorial design, multimedia content creation and web design.
3 - Explore the technical domain of audiovisual production especially with respect to various phases of the creative process.
4 - Acquire technical competencies in the domain area of web design. Basic programming, exploration of different formats, and creation of complex communication languages.

Syllabus:

1 - Introduction, technical exploration, and practice of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
2 - HTML5
3 - CSS3
4 - Introdução a frameworks e Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
5 - Construção de uma narrativa; Storytelling;
6 - Exploração analise da tipografia como elemento gráfico de expressão visual;
7 - Introduction to web animation (Jquery).

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Teaching methodology is framed around studio dialog for the theoretical content. Practice and learning by doing is the approach adopted within the project development component. The evaluation is continuous and judged by the quality and adequacy of the projects' response to the given briefs. All project development can be done individually or in groups as decided by the teacher. The projects are presented in class with compulsory support of multimedia presentations. Elements of evaluation: Design project concept + wireframes + project descriptive memory: 10%; Design project development: 30%; Frequency: 40%; Citizenship/Presence: 5%; Assignments: 15%
