Overall objectives:

1 - The objectives of the CU are: to understand the evolution of entrepreneurship as a field of research; characterize the entrepreneur; evaluate the importance of the entrepreneurial environment; characterize the entrepreneurial activity in Portugal; understand the various elements that make up the entrepreneurial process; encourage the student in research, identifying and evaluating business opportunities; develop skills in the analysis and interpretation of cases of entrepreneurship studies in the tourism sector; and develop skills in the preparation and presentation of a business plan.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Program content is addressed in theoretical classes (where the theoretical principles of the program are presented and discussed) and theoretical-practical (through interactive classes, fostered by the intense and valuable participation of the students, using teaching cases elaborated by schools of international renown level of teaching in Entrepreneurship, namely Babson College). The evaluation of the normal assessment season consists of three elements: completion of a written test (40%), and two group work, analysis of a case study (20%) and preparing and presenting a business plan (40%), all elements with a minimum grade of 7. At reassessment / or improvement period, the evaluation criteria remain, giving the student the opportunity to recover or improve only the grade of the written test.
