Overall objectives:

0 - With the development of this curricular unit, it is intended that the student be able to:
1 - Identify and characterise the Nature Exploration and Adaptation to the Environment Activities(NEAEA), and its setting in the context of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM).
2 - Understand and identify transversal factors underlying the design and dynamization of Nature Exploration and Adaptation to the Environment Activities (NEAEA).
3 - Know, execute and master the main techniques, methodologies and safety procedures, inherent to the various nature exploration activities with potential in the RAM.
4 - Design, dynamize and manage an NEAEA in a real context: risk management, environmental education, and careful planning
5 - Cooperate with colleagues in the development of work, manifesting a discourse based on valid and scientific aspects, a sense of responsibility and dominating and implementing the contents addressed in the curricular unit

Evaluation Methodology:
The syllabus will be addressed through theoretical, theoretical-practical and practical laboratory sessions. The classes presented a largely expository character, using audio-visual equipment and supported by documentation in digital and paper. In practical and laboratory classes the syllabus will be addressed through practical situations that enhance the technical field of activities addressed, and the principles underlying the preparation and promotion of an activity in nature. The assessment in this course based on the following field and parameters: one test; two work group (20% each); an individual critical reflection report (20%); Continuous assessment (20%) based on the following criteria: attendance, participation and written assignments.
