Overall objectives:

1 - Reflect on the importance of the territory as a fundamental space for community intervention aimed at increasing the values inherent to citizenship;
2 - Use awareness and public information as a way to ensure the prevention necessary for harmonious development of the community;
3 - To analyse, on the civil protection vision, the community's response to serious accident or disaster situations;
4 - Analyze the dynamics of the community that allows it to achieve a level of resilience capable of adjusting to adversity;
5 - Promote education, through a civil protection simulation planning project, as a way of minimizing the risks inherent to the community.

Syllabus:

1 - Concepts associated with the exercise of citizenship; Security and the relationship between self-protection and citizenship; The territory as a space that integrates a great diversity of risks that condition full citizenship; mitigation measures The different forms of information and community awareness; Risk perception: conceptual framework, evaluation and approach techniques; Leadership as a factor of aggregation of synergies in the Community organization Strategies for preparation, response and rehabilitation/recovery applied to the community with the support of the civil protection system; Information and awareness-raising techniques for the adoption of self-protection measures; Education as an aggregator factor of the community.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The methodologies to be used are diversified, including the presentation of slides, reading of reports or part of them, other texts, so that the master's students can carry out their analysis, preferably in groups for greater familiarity with joint decision-making. The learning assessment consists of direct observation of each of the master's students in classroom activities and a planning project to simulate a civil protection exercise (50%) and respective presentation (50%).
