Overall objectives:

1. - Develop research skills and carry out a research project, within the scope of ?knowing?, but above all of know-how. At the end of this course, in addition to knowing the lines of research of the master's professors, it is expected that the student acquires skills that allow him to:
1.1. - Describe and characterize the different steps of the research project;
1.2 - Know and apply the main research techniques and literature review;
1.3 - Identify and define the theoretical constructs within a given theme, as well as the main research needs in this field;
1.4 - Identify the research strategy and methods for collecting and analysing data appropriate to the problem and objectives of the study;
1.5 - Develop a set of oral and written communication skills in scientific terms;
1.6 - Become familiar with the main indicators of scientific production
1.7 - Write and orally present a research project

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Expository, active and interactive classes (Theoretical-practical classes), including Thematic Seminars in the area of Psychology and areas similar to Clinical Psychology, Health and Well-being, using the Psychology and Testoteca, Laboratory, as well as institutions and departments/ partner laboratories inside and outside UMa; Guided readings of research articles; Guided group discussion; Resolution and analysis of practical cases; Monitoring of data analysis and scientific writing. The evaluation of this curricular unit is based on the student's participation and involvement in research group meetings and the presentation of a research project proposal. The weights of each of the evaluation components (recoverable in period of appeal/improvement) in the final grade are as follows: (i) presentation and oral defence of the project (40%); (ii) research project proposal (written report) (30% literature review + 30% empirical part).
