Overall objectives:

1 - Acquire knowledge about the fundamentals of hydraulics: fluid properties, hydrostatics, hydrodynamics and hydrodynamics;
2 - Provide students with skills to analyse and solve the current problems of hydraulics in relation to flow under pressure and with free surface, based on the current state of knowledge;
3 - Develop transversal skills, namely with regard to the use of computational tools in order to design small fluid conduction systems;
4 - Acquire knowledge about the specific regulations applicable
