Overall objectives:

1 - Corresponding to the first approach to Design language and processes, it is understood that it is a discipline of a propaedeutic character where more than inserting a logic design, exercises are proposed that approach the discipline in a diachronic manner. It's intended:
2 - The students to explore in a guided way the diverse contemporary communicational supports
3 - Raise awareness for the study and interpretation of visual signs, structural elements of a graphic composition, and allow the exploration of various plastic techniques capable of building a visual narrative
4 - Raising awareness of the value of the creative process and introducing, through the proposed exercises, first approaches to the design methodology and language of the Designers
5 - Enable to identify the symbolic, aesthetic, functional and formal artifacts, recognizing their semiotic value
6 - Raise awareness about the issues of confrontation between oral communication/presentation of proposals and the final solution with your audience

Syllabus:

1 - Approach to the various aspects of a compositional and communicative grammar.
2 - Aspects of graphic composition such as: balance, image and text, multiple and simple graphic structures, hierarchy of content and messages.
3 - Introduction to visual rhetoric, considering the figures of style as strategic resources in the construction of a visual discourse.
4 - Visual poetry.
5 - Introduction to the final Arts and practical aspects of printing and application on digital media, list of media and means of reproduction.
6 - Approach to the new aesthetic-formal languages of graphic communication. Introduction to specific software conception support
