Overall objectives:

1 - Apply specific English language vocabulary to Civil Protection;
2 - Acquire technical language in English in the professional field;
3 - Read and interpret documents;
4 - Select information;
5 - Adapt oral and written discourse to everyday/intervention situations;
6 - Simulate intervention situations.

Syllabus:

1 - Basic language applied to intervention contexts at the level of Civil Protection.
2 - Technical language of the professional area.
3 - Reading and interpretation of information and utility documents.
4 - Consultation of various sources of information.
5 - Selection, organization and systematization of collected information.
6 - Filling out forms and others printed forms.
7 - Use maps to identify and move to the desired locations.
8 - Adequacy of oral and written discourse, in everyday situations, according to the lessons learned.
9 - Critical information analysis.
10 - Intervention situations simulation (roleplay).
11 - Production of written texts.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
In accordance with the expected for the Professional Higher Technical Courses. The evaluation of the Curricular Unit includes two tests with a weight of 35% each, as well as attendance, oral and written participation and the interest shown in the discipline as preponderant elements in the evaluation, with a weight of 30% in the final evaluation. Only the assessment carried out through the tests can be recovered at the time of appeal and subject to improvement.
