Overall objectives:

0 - Enable technicians with knowledge to enable them to provide first aid to victims of accidents or sudden illness; It is expected that the technicians will be able to identify situations of risk of life or quality of life and apply the respective protocol of action, carrying out the collection, registration, evaluation and transmission of information about the victim:
1 - Describe the different links of the integrated medical emergency system (IMES);
2 - Describe the different links in the survival chain;
3 - Identify the risks inherent to the condition of rescuer;
4 - Correctly identify emergency situations and activate all mechanisms essential to the provision of assistance;
5 - Know the concept of basic life support (BLS) describing its different stages;
6 - Correctly perform the rescue techniques when approaching the victim, according to the scenario found (accident or sudden illness).
