This Wednesday, May 6th, is celebrated the University of Madeira Day. And if the existing restrictions, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, forced the cancellation of the Solemn Session of the University of Madeira Day, we cannot fail to mark this date so important to our institution. In this exceptional period in which we find ourselves, we would like to express our gratitude to the teaching staff and students for the enormous effort shown in the change they are making in the transition from face-to-face teaching to off-site teaching. We would also like to express our gratitude to all the non-teaching staff, without exception, for keeping the institution running. We hope for a brief return to normality in our academic life, and for this we rely on your collaboration and compliance with the rules and restrictions in force.
