Biographical Notes
At Universidade da Madeira, he serves as the Vice President of the School of Technologies and Management, where he oversees educational and administrative initiatives. His academic career is marked by robust participation in European-funded research projects, collaborating with international experts to advance knowledge in his fields.
A founder of over ten scientific journals, with key publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, Prof. Leite actively contributes to the global research landscape. His roles in significant European scientific projects enhance the research capabilities at Universidade da Madeira. Affiliated with research centers in Portugal, Brazil, and Iceland, he maintains a global approach to academia.
In addition to his research, Prof. Leite is deeply dedicated to teaching and has developed and taught a diverse array of courses. His pedagogical approach is interactive and student-centered, fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking and innovation.
Eduardo Leite's professional journey is also noted for its unique aspects; he was the first former professional soccer player to achieve a doctoral degree in Portugal, demonstrating his diverse talents and determination.
