Undergraduate Degree in Management

The course of study of the Undergraduate Degree in Management is comprised of 6 semesters (3 academic years). Those who obtain 180 ECTS are awarded the title.
This course aims to train competent managers, prepared to cope with the demands of the national and international job market.
During the course, students will be provided with technical and scientific training, allowing not only the integration in the job market, but also the pursuit of a scientific career, through the application to the 2nd cycle of studies.
Graduates in Management from University of Madeira are strongly encouraged to develop their critical thinking, communication skills and autonomy, promoting lifelong learning and knowledge renewal.

Prepared to meet national and international market requirements, graduates of this Undergraduate degree will have the ability to: perform management and leadership roles in the functional areas of companies, such as production, supply, marketing, finance, and human resources; perform planning, management and financial analysis duties; carry out functions in banks and insurance companies.

Candidates

This degree is especially aimed at those who aspire to develop their knowledge and critical thinking in the areas of Management and Business Administration.
Candidates may apply via the National Higher Education Access Contest providing they successfully passed one of the required admission exams. Candidates may also enrol via special regimes such as course/institution transfer, through one of the Special Contests in force or the Interntional Student Statute.
