Overall objectives:

1 - The Course aims to provide students with an introduction to Drawing / Project (visual narrative / literature), motivating him to submit creative, autonomous and coherent work, arousing attention to models that guide thinking about the most distinct realities. Thus, the design is considered a field test which will assist and enhance the graphical meaning - concepts with regard to the preparation of narrative sense to prepare the image - movement. The student must respond to exercises through an ongoing dialectical and work with a nuclear commitment research and application to merge: drawing, story, fantasy and communication, experiencing scenarios, views and actions with techniques in traditional and digital media. A unit of work based and streamlines future adaptable for travel situations, rehearsing narrative possibilities for characters and stories of documentary / fictional character.

Syllabus:

1 - Drawing as process and project.
2 - Drawing in contemporary art .
3 - Visual narratives: illustration and desenhad band; language and vocabulary.
4 - Graphic Diary as manifest of the everyday, uniqueness, confession, travel.
5 - Linear / non-linear narrative: the film in drawing, between documentary reality and fiction.
6 - Free hand drawing, drawing and memory processes of synthesis and accentuation.
7 - Materials, pictorial processes and graphic elements.
8 - Extensive and hybrid view (graphite and bit).
9 - Vector drawing (Adobe Illustrator).
10 - Experimental laboratory: photography, video and print processes (fanzines).

Evaluation Methodology:
Combinatorial methods: Practical demonstrative, dialogic, active and expository (deductive and inductive), coupled with the practice (drawing in the studio) to approach the theoretical contents: It is intended to foster research of concepts, views, history and techniques in the field of visual storytelling, the consolidation of a publishing project. The accompanying tutorial will be based on argumentation, debate creating conditions for studied and applied contents. Stimulate the working group's critical faculties and logical reasoning about the experience between Drawing and Word. Assessment is continuous and requires attendance, punctuality and participation. Experimenting with conventional means; Periodic monitoring of the work phases (pre-assessment) in two sessions (qualitative). Storyboard and studies: 25%; Graphic Diary: 25%; Final Project Illustration / BD / cartoon and presentation (digital): 50%.
