Overall objectives:

1 - The student should develop a general perspective on the management, the manager, the firm and its relationship with the environment, based on a systemic approach of socioeconomic phenomena.
2 - The student should understand and differentiate the multiple dimensions involved in business activity, namely, the scientific, socio-cultural, and ethical dimension
3 - The student should be able to analyze, differentiate and understand the contents of the structuring functions of management (planning, organizing, directing, and controlling) and its impact on business activity
4 - The student should be able to recognize, select and handle some tools, arising from management functions, to achieve business objectives.

Evaluation Methodology:
The course unit (UC) consists of theoretical classes (AT) and theoretical-practical (ATP). The theoretical platform of the UC is presented and discussed with active participation of the students, in the theoretical classes are discussed cases and solved exercises. In periodic assessment students will have to denote skills in analysis, synthesis, interpretation, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. There are 2 tests with equal weight (50%) in the final grade. In both the minimum grade is 7 values. Students with a final average of 9.5 or higher will be approved. In resit exam students could improve each part, or in alternaive all the contents.
