Master’s Degree in Spatial Design

The cycle of studies of the master’s degree in Spatial Design is comprised of 4 semesters (2 academic years). Those who obtain 120 ETCS are awarded the title.
This master’s degree aims at providing a specialized training in public, private, outdoor and indoor space projects. It enables professionals within the fields of Design, Architecture, Engineering and Art to enrich their knowledge, and to acquire advanced qualifications in Design.
Throughout the degree and with the deepening and acquisition of specific knowledge in the areas of drawing, construction, acoustics, lightning, colour, furniture and space requalification, students will be able to relate and apply design’s methodology in the creation of spaces with a high conceptual, aesthetic, formal and social value, while being sustainable.

Career Opportunities and Employability

Graduates will be capable of carrying out duties as interior designer, in city planning and urban design, furniture designer, event designers and urban equipment designer. Graduates will be able to create and develop temporary spaces, stands, concept stores, domestic interior spaces and public urban spaces, as well as design and develop equipment that provide functional, cultural and aesthetical high-quality environments.

Candidates

This degree is specially aimed at professionals within the fields of Design, architecture, engineering, art, among others. Candidates may apply if holders of an undergraduate degree or legal equivalent, holders of an international higher academic degree, recognized as meeting the objectives of an Undergraduate degree, holders of school, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by head of this cycle of studies, attesting to the ability to the conclusion of the degree.
