Overall objectives:

1 - At the end of this course, the trainee teacher should:
1.1 - Manage, in a deep way, scientific and technical knowledge in the scope of Physical Education teaching, using scientific information to support his pedagogical intervention
1.2 - Know, in a detailed way, the Physical Education programs of the different levels of education, and be able to adapt it to the educational context where the internship takes place, in a profitable way;
1.3 - Understand and enhance the role of the teacher as a dynamic element of the debate and reflection on Education, in general, and on Physical Education, in particular;
1.4 - Demonstrate appropriate professional, ethical, moral and deontological skills within the Educational System;
1.5 - To demonstrate autonomy, initiative and investigation, critical reflection and the ability to work as a team, in an educational context;
1.6 - To present, to justify and to reflect the results of the work carried out during the internship process, in a public context.

Evaluation Methodology:
The student is responsible for teaching a class of cooperative advisor, with constant supervision of this supervisor. Meetings between the supervisor from the University of Madeira, the cooperating advisor and all students of the training group; and meetings between the cooperating advisor and the students of the core group are held weekly. The evaluation of each activity involves the conception, realization and report. All documents produced should have expression in a Single File, in digital format, which is available to advisors permanently. In the end, the student intern will produce a Report of Practice, describing the process developed, which will be submitted to public discussion in face of a nominated jury, as suggested by the currents laws and regulations. The percentages of each element of assessment will be discussed and agreed with the students at the beginning of the school year. No element shall be weighted more than 50%.
