Overall objectives:

1 - Mastering terminologies, methodologies and theories in an inter and multidisciplinary perspective, in the context of cultural studies.
2 - To understand the contributions of the various areas of the knowledge to the treated syllabus on the field of Cultural Studies.
3 - To analyse the human discourse for what they stand out of representation of the reality, putting in emphasis the relations between the men and its involving environment.
4 - Show the capacity to integrate knowledge, deal with complex questions and have an organized research working program, planning, coordination and realization.
5 - To value the research along the training process and to apply the knowledge in the most varied situations.
6 - To acquire abilities that allows the student to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The lectures combine the theoretical part (where it is presented and discussed thetheoretical principals of the syllabus) and the practical part (where the student apply what he learnedand show its reflections). The activities in the context of classroom will have to be propitious to the joint discussion and the share of ideas. Beyond the debate of ideas and exchanges of data or perceptions, apractical work of research will be accomplished. With this activity one intends that the master studentsacquire practical of research and that at the same time they foment the taste for the areaof the CulturalStudies, without disregarding its applicability in the context of the Master's degree in CulturalManagement. Evaluation: Elaboration of a research paper on a program topic. 50% - oral presentation of the research paper at the end of the semester (with regular presentations: summary, work plan, general and specific bibliography); 50% - written assignment (end of semester).
