Overall objectives:

1 - Display the knowledge and capability required for independent work in the area of Cultural, Literary and Intercultural Studies.
2 - Develop in-depth knowledge of the major subject/field of study, including deeper insight into current research and development work.
3 - Have a deeper knowledge of methods in the major subject/field of study.
4 - Increase the capability to contribute to research and development work.
5 - Be able to view critically, independently and creatively identify, formulate and deal with complex issues.
6 - Display capability to clearly present and discuss the conclusions as well as the knowledge and arguments that form the basis for these findings.
7 - Identify the issues that must be addressed within the framework of the specific thesis.
