Overall objectives:

1 - This UC aims to develop a set of knowledge and skills of theoretical and theoretical-practical in the scope of knowledge and know-how in the area of Psychological Assessment in Education and Training, underpinning the methodology teaching for understanding. It is hoped that the students at the end of this UC will have acquired a set of competencies that allow them to understand, critically reflect and apply their knowledge in situations of simulated practice. That is, they are able to transfer theoretical knowledge to situations of psychological practice in different educational contexts.

Syllabus:

1 - Methods and techniques of data collection in Psychology Education and Training (PEF). Observation, interview, tests, scales, questionnaires, creative products, documents, check lists, portfolio, life histories and narratives.
2 - Structure an d evaluation process in PEF. Request; Collection of information; Definitio n of protocol; Application and quotation of instruments; Qualitative and quantitative information analysis; Diagnosis: Types of reports for the internal and external services of the institution to the family and to the subject of the evaluation. The intervention proposal.
3 - Case study. Assessment in : Early entry and situations of school delay; Cognitive deficits, giftedness; Learning Difficulties (general and specific); Risk behaviors, social and emotional skills; Motivation, creativity and personality; Personal and vocational development; Neuropsychological; Psychosocial risks; Processes and functioning of primary and secondary groups

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
In theoretical classes, an expository methodology supported by slides will be used and participation and discussion will be appealed. In the theoretical-practical classes will be carried out competency training and case study as well as simulated practice. It will be encouraged the reading of updated bibliography and research in databases. Assessment: A) Written test (50%), where the ability to integrate content and theoretical conceptual rigor will be evaluated; B) Portfolio (50%) will include the compilation of practical work done in the practical and autonomous classes, as well as a critical reflection on the skills worked and acquired. For the evaluation there is a minimum of 75% of attendance. At the end of the CU students are asked to evaluate the teaching methodologies used, their learning and the type of assessment made, and suggestions for improvement are requested.
