Overall objectives:

1 - Develop skills within the theme of the dissertation;
2 - Demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge;
3 - Being able to perform a literature search independently;
4 - Mastering technical skills for collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data;
5 - Mastering research methodologies;
6 - Report findings, knowledge and und erlying reasoning, both to experts and non-experts, clearly and unambiguously;
7 - Develop skills that enable lifelong learning in a fundamentally self-oriented and autonomous way;
8 - Develop solutions or make judgments in situations of limited or incomplete information, including reflections on the implications and ethical and social responsibilities that result or condition of these solutions and judgments.

Evaluation Methodology:
In preparing the dissertation, each candidate is gu ided by a teacher or UMa researcher, or by another person who meets the necessary requirements (doctor or specialist in the scientific field of the dissertation, national or foreign, with merit acknowledged by the Scientific Board of the Degree. The supervisor is appointed by the Degree Director, at the request of the applicant. When the work of the dissertation takes place wholly or partly in another (s) institution (s) other than UMa, the Scientific Council of the Degree may, on a reasoned proposal of the supervisor, appoint a cosupervisor who must also meet the requirements described above. The evaluation consists of a Public exam, with a jury composed of the President (Director of the Master), supervisor and examiner appointed by the Scientific Council of FAH. The grade is assigned on a scale of 0-20 values
