Overall objectives:

1 - To develop the ability to analyze problems of the mechanics of systems of material points and rigid bodies at rest (static);
2 - Develop skills in the study of the principles of isostatic structures, determination of deformations and deformation in isostatic structures.
3 - Deepening of the general knowledge regarding the behavior of hyperstatic structures.

1 - Introduction to Statics
2 - Vector Systems
3 - Statics of a particle
5 - Internal stresses in plane isostatic structures. Types of loads and supports. Internal stresses. Diagrams of stresses in isostatic structures.
6 - Deformations in isostatic structures

Evaluation Methodology: Normal Season - Two test with weights of 35% each and two practical works with weights of 15% each.

In the Season of Appeal (and Special Season) all components of the evaluation of the Normal Season are fully recoverable, ie, the Examination of the Appeal Time (and Special Season) is compulsory for 100%. Examination with weight of 100%.

Students who achieve a classification (Normal / Resource / Special Time) of at least 18.5 have to undergo the oral test in order to be able to obtain a final classification higher than 18 Values (if they do not do so, the final mark will be 18 Values ). E
