Overall objectives:

  1. To consolidate vocabulary and grammar structures that are essential to an effective communication in English;
  2. To develop specific language skills, namely reading, speaking, writing, and listening skills.
  3. To produce oral and written texts;
  4. To apply the grammar structures studied in context;
  5. To identify and apply the vocabulary contents seized in context;
  6. To discuss topics of cultural, political and social interest in Europe and other English-speaking countries.

Syllabus:

  1. Thematic contents: generations; lifestyles; health and illness; other relevant topics.
  2. Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation: a generalized approach to the elements underlying the functioning of the English language.
  3. Functional models of writing: descriptive, discursive and argumentative texts; instructions and directions.
