Overall objectives:

1 - To consolidate and apply knowledge acquired in the course;
2 - To plan, provide and evaluate basic health / social care, within its competence, under technical supervision;
3 - To train professional communication in providing care to clients and in professional inter-relationship;
4 - To collaborate on health or social actions;
5 - To prepare activity records according to the service methodology.

Syllabus:

1 - Realization of curricular internship in real work environment with a view to providing health and/or social care, under technical supervision: households, homes, residences; day centers, clinics, hospitals, health centers or other health care units. It follows an individual work plan previously defined.
2 - Integration in a multidisciplinary team;
3 - Development of professional relationship skills with clients and other professionals;
4 - Provision of basic health and/or social care;
5 - Participation in health and/or social actions;
6 - Documentation of activities and care.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
In the final classification of the internship (training in the workplace), the following aspects are considered: the student's performance during the internship, considering the previously defined training plan (50%) and the completion of a final report (50%) ). The final rating is the weighted average of the ratings obtained from the performance review and the report. The final classification of the internship is expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 values, with rounding to the units. The approval implies that the student participates in 80% of the activities developed in the internship. The student who obtains a final classification equal to or higher than ten (10) values in each of the evaluation components is considered approved in the internship curricular unit. There is no possibility of recovery in appeal or special time exam.
