University of Madeira professor honoured
No passado dia 8 de março, Dia Internacional da Mulher, a Ciência Viva, no Pavilhão do Conhecimento em Lisboa, prestou homenagem a mulheres cientistas portuguesas, com o lançamento do 5.º volume do livro “Mulheres na Ciência”. Realce-se que a Prof.ª Vanessa Cesário, da Faculdade de Artes e Humanidades, da Universidade da Madeira, foi uma das homenageadas.
Segundo a nota do evento, as mulheres cientistas portuguesas, representam 45% do total de investigadores no nosso país e cujo trabalho notável tem sido fundamental para o progresso que a Ciência e a Tecnologia nacionais registaram nas últimas décadas. O livro “Mulheres na Ciência” reúne retratos de investigadoras portuguesas de diferentes gerações e áreas do conhecimento.
