Overall objectives:

1 - The student should develop a general perspective on the functioning of organizations, based on a systemic approach of socio organizational phenomena.
2 - 2 - The student will learn to identify and understand the different processes that exist in organizations, namely, the individual processes, group processes (or social) and organizational processes and management.
3 - 3 - The student should be able to contribute, through their action, to the increase of the efficiency of people in the organizations, based on the knowledge and skills they acquire about the various processes that exist in organizations

Syllabus:

1 - Introduction to Organizational Behavior and contemporary socioeconomic systems
2 - Individual processes (perception, personality, attitudes, emotions, motivation and job satisfaction)
3 - Group processes (groups, group dynamics, roles, norms, status, stress, conflict and negotiation)
4 - Organizational processes and management (decision-making process in individual and group power, organizational politics, communication, culture, leadership, organizational change, innovation and technology)

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The CU has theoretical (AT) practical lectures (ATP). Firstly (AT), theoretical platform of the CU is exposed and discussed by the Prof (with the active participation of students), while in the others classes (ATP) cases/situations r discussed, solving exercises related to behavioural processes (individual, group and management processes). The TP will provide an environment of reflection and a contact with concrete behavioural processes to the students. Assessment: in normal period is through a periodic evaluation, with the realization of individual midterm and group work. Group work must be original and subjected to UMa's plagiarism control. In the resit period its possible 2 recover an individual exam grade of the regular period. Group work cannot be recovered. The evaluation of the normal and resit period are subjected to the minimum grade (8). In the reassessment period the result of the evaluation is equal to the result of the examination.
