Overall objectives:

1 - Upon completion of this course students should:
1.1 - Understand and apply the concepts of economics (scarce resource, opportunity cost, public goods, externality, market equilibrium, present value, private, public and social return, among others);
1.2 - Have seized the methodology of economic logic (cost-benefit analysis, production possibility frontier, efficiency;
1.3 - Solve some problems of education sector by using the methodology of economic logic and the concepts learned.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The programs of theoretical and practical lessons, oral expositions, the tests and the final exams are designed to develop and to test in depth understanding of the concepts and the seizure of economic logic. Participation in practical lessons will help students to acquire the ability to apply the principles and ideas of the economy. Lectures program is complemented by a program of practical lessons. Each student will be integrated into a group for practical lessons. Periodic assessment: On days set there will be two evaluation tests. Each test counts 50% to the final grade giving a value that rounded to the nearest integer or next (if this is the opinion of the teaching team) is the final note. Assessment by final exam: for all students who have not obtained approval in periodic assessment the final note is the note of the final exam whereby the result is rounded to the nearest integer."
