Overall objectives:

1 - The general goal of this course aims to provide the students with theoretical and applied knowledge concerning the domain of Organizational Psychology, more specifically:
1.1 - Describe the scope and the primary goals of Organizational Psychology
1.2 - Contextualize Organizational Psychology from historical and scientific perspectives
1.3 - Describe and compare several theoretical approaches regarding the organizations
1.4 - Present and explore specif questions and matters concerning organizational structures and their dynamic processes
1.5 - Describe and explore different dimensions and psycho-social processes with relevance to understanding and explaining human behavior at the organizations
1.6 - Raise awareness about the role of the Work and Organizational Psychologist in the organizational settings

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Theoretical teaching will be implemented through explanatory and conceptually focused methodologies whereas theoretical-practical classes will include more applied activities. Altogether, the adopted teaching methodologies will include (i) in-depth activities to explore theoretical and applied contents with the support of audiovisual resources, (ii) applied activities and exercises to integrate conceptual and practical components (i.e. debates, group exercises) (iii) the participation and interaction of the students in the activities, (iv) independent work by using the literature and scientific databases, (v) performing applied and practical assignments, (vi) student monitoring. The assessment will include the following components with the respective weighting for the course final score: - 1 theoretical exam (50%); - 1 practical group assessment about organizational structures in organization selected by them (50% - being 25% from the writing part and 25% from the oral presentation)
