Overall objectives:

1. - Develop competencies for the nursing practice of the individual, family and community that reveals integration at the cognitive, technical and relational level.
2. - Develop skills in methodologies and intervention techniques for the individual, family and community at the three levels of prevention.
3. - To develop capacities aimed at raising critical awareness about the health of the individual and the family in a community context and its determinants for free and informed decision making.
4. - Collaborate on community intervention projects.
5. - To promote a process of personal and professional development centered on self-learning, self-responsibility and critical thinking in nursing.

Syllabus:

1. - Nursing Care Practice in the Community: Integrating knowledge in the development of competencies inherent to nursing care in the context of the individual inserted in the family and in the community.
2. - Study of a family: Evaluation, analysis and intervention in the family taking into account a theoretical model, taking into account the transitions that occur throughout the development phases of families.
3. - Clinical Practice Project and Report: Collaboration in the survey of health care needs considering cultural beliefs and practices that influence the health of the individual, family and community; Identification of the resources of the community capable of forming a support network for the individual and family; Analysis in nursing team and transdisciplinary of the health problems that imply different methodologies of intervention and complexity.
4. - Critical Reflection by looking at an evidence-based practice.

Evaluation Methodology:
The clinical practice takes place under the direct tutorial orientation of the tutors and teachers. The student is the main agent of learning. Family or community cases are analyzed, based on scientific evidence, a reflected practice and informed decision making. The evaluation integrates the model C of the regulation of the evaluation of the learning of the UMa: component of continuous evaluation of the clinical practice (50%); of the case study (25%) and the project and report (25%). There will be partial evaluations whenever the teacher, tutor or student deems appropriate. The evaluation of the clinical component attends to the perspective of the student, tutor and teacher. The approval of the course implies approval in all components (minimum 9.5 values) and requires the presence in 80% of the hours. There is no recovery in resort / improvement or special season. The final classification is expressed in the scale of 0 to 20 values and is the responsibility of the teacher.
