Overall objectives:

1 - This course consolidates the basic knowledge of the German language (Reference Common European Framework for Languages level B1.2) in the four basic skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing.
2 - The manual of discipline DaF Kompakt NEU A1-B1 puts a sharp focus on communicative competence and ability to act in the context of German expression. The student understands the essential (the normal German) and is able to assert, orally and in writing, simply and cohesively in the context of known issues.
3 - Students will be require_ an active, independent and creative classes in this discipline.
4 - For this goal to be achieved it is very important the Training and pay attention to the language (language awareness), the contrastive reflection on language and speech acts, and an intercultural approach.

Syllabus:

1 - The course program follows essentially the manual suggestions (Lessons 13-16 or other chapters of thematic interest), devoting roughly 12 hours of lessons (4 contact hours per week). Students will complete the teaching offer through independent work with the manual workbook (6.5 hours workload per week).

Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The theoretical exposition will be consolidated with practical work written and oral and the autonomous work. Students work in class meetings in individual work, partner work and group work. Directed teaching only takes place when it is necessary to explain complex language features. The assessment consists of two partial exams. Evaluation: 80% of mandatory presence ; 2 written midterms of 2 hours (each 40%). 1 Oral Exame (20%). In resource season will be admitted students with status Normal, (N) meeting the conditions to carry out a test feature or improvement note of the evaluation element with the minor mark obtained (40%). Students with worker-student status will be admitted in resource season to a written test concerning the 2 midterms (80%). Students admitted to the especial resource season may be aligable to the evaluation of the two written tests (80%). The Oral Exam (20%) cannot be recovered or improved in resource season or especial resource season.
