Overall objectives:

1 - The learning objectives are: 1) to develop the knowledge and capacity necessary to carry out independent work in the field of Management;
2 - Obtain in-depth knowledge about the specific theme of the dissertation/project;
3 - Be able to clearly present and discuss the conclusions of the work, as well as the underlying theory;
4 - Be able to identify new problems and solve them critically, independently and innovatively;
5 - Contribute, with an applied research work, to the improvement and development of activities in the area of Management; and
6 - Apply knowledge in the resolution of new challenges in the exercise of the profession.

Syllabus:

1 - This curricular unit comprises the development of a dissertation, project or internship report. The themes can be varied, but they must fall within the scientific area of Management.

Evaluation Methodology:
Teaching methodologies will be defined by the supervisor(s). The student develops the proposed work, which will be delivered in a written document, evaluated by a jury and discussed in public exam. The evaluation of this curricular unit complies with the legislation in force for the attribution of a Master's degree, as well as with the "Regulation of 2nd Cycle of Studies courses" of the University of Madeira.
