Assesssment methods and criteria:

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
The curricular unit is co-taught by two lecturers, each responsible for a module. The first module covers the topics 1-4 and is taught by Dr Mario Franco Barros, and the second module covers the topics 5-9, taught by Dr Svetlana Kurtes. The introductory sessions of each module tend to be more expository, although always theoretical-practical with a view to reviewing the key concepts that the students may already be familiar with. Then the new concepts are introduced. The learning process is always multidirectional and collaborative, involving the students' and the teacher' interaction, promoting the dialogue and debate during the acquisition of new concepts. At the end of each session there is dedicated tutorial support from the teacher, helping the students to prepare for their written and oral assignments, each weighting 50 % of the final mark. The final mark is the arithmetic average of both assessment components.
