Overall objectives:

1 - Know the legal regime applicable to civil protection activities.
2 - Know the general and special duties applied to civil protection activities.

Syllabus:

1 - The concept of civil protection and its territorial scope;
2 - The objectives, domains and principles of its performance;
3 - The different situations of alert, contingency and calamity depending on the nature of the events and procedures appropriate to each situation;
4 - Identification of the various entities with competence in the coordination, direction and execution of the civil protection policy;
5 - The legislation regarding the civil protection structure and the inherent operations;
6 - The specific civil protection regime in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
