Overall objectives:

1 - To understand the evolution of the family concept and its social, economic, cultural and political implications;
2 - To understand the concept of family health in interaction with the environment;
3 - To understand the concept of community health in interaction with service and care contexts;
4 - To identify community resources that constitute a support network for the person and family;
5 - To classify families according to their typology and stage of the life cycle;
6 - To understand the family and community context as a conditioner of lifestyle;
7 - To understand the family as the main context of choice for the provision of services and care;
8 - To identify vulnerable family and community contexts.

1 - Evolution of family and community concepts and their importance in social, economic, cultural and political development;
2 - Family and community concepts;
3 - Family and community contexts as conditions of the person and the family's health;
4 - Determinants of family and community health;
5 - Favorable contexts for family and community health;
6 - Vulnerable family and community contexts;
7 - Citizenship in health.

Classification Type: Quantitativa (0-20)

Evaluation Methodology:
Classification Type: Quantitative (0-20) Evaluation according to model B of the UMa learning assessment regulation, notably in normal season: 1 frequency (40%), 2 group work (30% each). The approval of the curricular unit implies approval in all components (minimum 9.5 values). There is a possibility of recovery at a time of resource/improvement or special. The final classification is expressed on the scale of 0 to 20 values and is the responsibility of the teacher.
