Overall objectives:

1 - To apply acquired knowledge, skills and attitudes to practical situations and abstract problems, in training in a work context, demonstrating autonomy and responsibility when faced with problems related to their professional activity;
2 - To demonstrate mastery and ability to apply the knowledge and techniques acquired to the systems of production and processing of food products, observing the rules and legislation in force.
3 - To outline, implement and execute activity plans adjusted to the host entity's needs and objectives.
4 - To demonstrate skills and attitudes necessary for their integration in holdings and host entities.
5 - To evaluate, in a work context, the skills and attitudes acquired and demonstrated by the intern.

Syllabus:

1 - Internship (720h): Internship Plan: Elaboration; delineation; discussion; approval of the plan.
1.1 - Placement in the host entity: Integration of the intern in the structure, activities and dynamics of the entity.
1.2 - Implementation of the internship plan: planning; execution; management; assessment.
1.3 - Internship follow-up: balance; analysis; adjustment of activities carried out.
1.4 - Follow-up; analysis and adjustment of activities;
1.5 - Communication: systematization and provision of information with the balance of activity; attendance record.
1.6 - Report writting.
1.7 - Evaluation.
2 - Oriented activities (120 hours): Reuniões com o orientador e tutor.
2.1 - Aimed at guiding the intern within the scope of the implementation of the internship plan, research of contents applied to the activity in the exploration or host entity, bibliographical research and preparation of the internship report.
2.2 - Tutorial activities developed by the Advisor with the aim of accompanying, understanding and guiding the intern during the internship activities and completion of the internship report.

Evaluation Methodology:
The aim is to mobilize and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in a work context. To achieve the objectives and implement the programmatic contents, the UC's contact hours are scheduled as follows: 720 hours of applied activities, carried out at the host entity; 48 hours of guidance, under a tutoring regime, and 72 hours of independent work to prepare the internship report. The intern will be evaluated in relation to 3 components of the internship by the tutor and the advisor, in order to assess the ability to apply knowledge and skills during the internship. The evaluation components are performance evaluation by the tutor (35% of the final grade), performance assessment by the supervisor (15%); internship report (50%).
