Overall objectives:

Know the different phases of basketball history, as well as the main organs and regulations of the sport;

Provide students with an overview of basketball;

Consolidate the knowledge of the various phases of the basketball game, its objectives, the terminology and symbology of basketball;

Provide students with the experience of training and game situations, in order to achieve a minimum competence, with regard to the specific motricity of basketball.

To promote in the students the ability to achieve, in the role of coach of Minibasketball, of male and female U-14 and U16, a set of more specific and specialized experiences, which give practical content to an adequate preparation of athletes and teams;

Provide students with regular training and game situations, in the role of head coach or assistant of a Minibasketball team, u-14 and u-16 men's and women's U16, in official competitions of the sport;

Encourage in the students the ability to carry out, in the role of judge (referee and/or table officer), in the games of Minibasketball and U-14, a set of more specific and specialized experiences, which give practical content to an adequate preparation of themselves and athletes and teams;

 Provide students with the experience of training and game situations on a regular basis, in the role of referee (referee and/or table official) in the Minibasketball and/or U-14 competition, in official competitions of the sport;

Consolidate offensive technical and tactical aspects in basketball;

Reveal the capacity for initiative and innovation both in training and in the game;

Assume availability and motivation for teamwork, focusing on the sharing of information and behaviors of solidarity and mutual help;

Use information technologies and effective communication in the application of basketball knowledge;

Plan and manage the sports training process in basketball;

Evaluate, plan and organize training and competition sessions for different groups in basketball;

Develop the capacity for autonomy and the sense of social responsibility in the orientation of the training and game process.

Assesssment methods and criteria:

1) Evaluation of the Practical Test (about 10 minutes of intervention, on the ground, on one of the themes of technique and/or tactics, whose theme will be drawn - 75% + Theme developed in writing - 25%) - is worth 50% of the final grade - From the total of the note: worth 10 Values;

2) Evaluation of the Arbitration Course (Theoretical Test - 25% + Practical Evaluation - 75%) - worth 25% of the final grade - From the total score: worth 2.5 Values;

3) Frequency Assessment - worth 12.5% of the final grade (mandatory minimum score of 9.5 values) - of the total score: worth 2.5 Values;

4) Continuous evaluation of the performance of each student throughout the classes (Attendance - 50% + practical evaluation in a situation of 3x0 and 5x0 - 50% ) - worth 12.5% of the final grade? of the total note: is worth 2.5 Values.
Observations:

a) The evaluation of each of these items will be made on the scale from 0 to 20 values.

 (b) the final assessment shall be determined by applying the following formula:
