Overall objectives:

1. - To deepen the understanding of Portuguese poetry and fiction from Modernity and Postmodernity.
2. - To critically analyse works and movements of Modern and Contemporary Portuguese Literature.
3. - To understand the historical-cultural contexts that have influenced literary production from the twentieth century to the present day.
4. - To develop skills in reading, interpreting and critically writing literary texts.

Evaluation Methodology:
The theoretical exposition developed in class will be consolidated with the commentary of texts from which the active intervention of students will be encouraged. The participation of students will therefore be requested in a systematic way, both through their participation in class and with regard to the presentation of written work. Grading Type: Quantitative (0-20) The assessment of the course, which includes both written and oral components, is carried out through two individual written assignments (50%+50%)
