Course Information

Course Objectivs

The aim of this Course is to introduce tourism as a socio-economic activity, identifying the key concepts involved in this field. It will identify the elements of evaluation of the tourism system and its interactions with other systems in the environment. We will understand the tourist behavior on the process of choice the destination. Simultaneously, we will know the dynamic pricing policy available to organizations that operate in the current tourism system, and how to shape the image and personality of a tourist destination. Finally, we discuss communication strategies in the tourism sector.

The students will develop some key analytical, planning, and implementation skills of the tools necessary to deal with relevance and effectiveness issues related to the Syllabus.

Evaluation Criteria

the curricular unit has continuous evaluation, and final frequency taking into account the following elements and respective weightings:
- Periodic evaluation:

- Group work (50% N. end - minimum 8 values from 20).

- written test- Frequency  (50% final N. - minimum 8 values from 20).
